Terms of Service

Last updated: August 19, 2026

1. Acceptance of Terms

By accessing or using Doku ("the Platform"), operated at doku.work, you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, do not use the Platform.

2. Description of Service

Doku is a project management platform that provides:

  • Task and project management tools
  • Team collaboration workspaces (Spaces)
  • AI-powered chat assistance for project management
  • Gantt chart and planning views

The Platform is currently in Open Beta. Features may change, be added, or removed without prior notice.

3. User Accounts

  • You must provide accurate information when creating an account
  • You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account credentials
  • You must notify us immediately of any unauthorized access
  • You must be at least 16 years old to use the Platform
  • One person may not maintain more than one account

4. Workspaces and Collaboration

Doku organizes work into Spaces. When using Spaces:

  • Space creators can invite members via email
  • All content within a Space is visible to its members
  • Space administrators can manage members and permissions
  • You are responsible for content you create or share within a Space

5. Acceptable Use

You agree not to:

  • Use the Platform for any illegal purpose
  • Upload malicious content, viruses, or harmful code
  • Attempt to gain unauthorized access to other accounts or systems
  • Abuse the AI chat feature to generate harmful, illegal, or misleading content
  • Interfere with the Platform's operation or infrastructure
  • Scrape, crawl, or extract data from the Platform without authorization
  • Resell or redistribute access to the Platform

6. Intellectual Property

6.1 Your Content

You retain ownership of all content you create on the Platform (tasks, projects, descriptions, files). By using Doku, you grant us a limited license to store, process, and display your content as necessary to provide the service.

6.2 Our Platform

The Doku platform, including its design, code, branding, and AI features, is our intellectual property. You may not copy, modify, or reverse-engineer any part of the Platform.

7. AI Features

  • AI responses are generated by third-party services (Google Gemini) and may not always be accurate
  • You should review AI-generated suggestions before acting on them
  • We are not liable for decisions made based on AI-generated content
  • AI features may have usage limits that change over time

8. Service Availability

We strive for high availability but do not guarantee uninterrupted access. The Platform may be temporarily unavailable for maintenance, updates, or due to circumstances beyond our control. We are not liable for any downtime.

9. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law:

  • The Platform is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind
  • We are not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages
  • Our total liability shall not exceed the amount you paid us in the 12 months prior to the claim
  • We are not responsible for data loss due to user error or third-party service failures

10. Termination

We may suspend or terminate your account if you violate these Terms. You may delete your account at any time. Upon termination, your data will be deleted in accordance with our Privacy Policy.

11. Changes to Terms

We may modify these Terms at any time. Continued use of the Platform after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms. Material changes will be communicated via email or in-app notification.

12. Governing Law and EEA Consumers

Any dispute will first be addressed through good-faith negotiation before other remedies are pursued.

If you contract as a consumer resident in the European Economic Area or the United Kingdom, nothing in these Terms deprives you of the protection afforded by the mandatory rules of your country of residence, nor of your right to bring proceedings before the courts of your domicile. The European Commission also provides an online dispute resolution platform at ec.europa.eu/consumers/odr.

13. Right of Withdrawal

If you are a consumer in the European Economic Area or the United Kingdom and you purchase a paid plan, you have 14 calendar days to withdraw without giving any reason, under Directive 2011/83/EU.

To exercise it, simply tell us at [email protected] before the deadline expires. We will refund you within 14 days of receiving your notice, using the same payment method you used.

Note that, as this is a digital service with immediate access, if you expressly request to start using it during the withdrawal period and acknowledge that you will lose that right once the service has been fully performed, withdrawal ceases to apply to that extent.
