End User License Agreement

1. Agreement

This End User License Agreement ("EULA") is a legal agreement between you ("User") and Doku for the use of the Doku platform and related services ("Software"). By using the Software, you agree to the terms of this EULA.

2. License Grant

Subject to the terms of this EULA, we grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to:

  • Access and use the Doku platform via web browser
  • Create, manage, and collaborate on projects and tasks
  • Use AI-powered features for project management assistance
  • Invite team members to your workspaces

3. License Restrictions

You may NOT:

  • Copy, modify, or distribute any part of the Software
  • Reverse engineer, decompile, or disassemble the Software
  • Sublicense, rent, lease, or lend the Software to third parties
  • Use the Software to build a competing product or service
  • Remove or alter any proprietary notices or labels
  • Use automated tools to access the Software beyond normal use

4. Ownership

The Software is licensed, not sold. We retain all rights, title, and interest in the Software, including all intellectual property rights. Your content remains your property, subject to the limited license granted in our Terms of Service.

5. Third-Party Services

The Software integrates with third-party services including:

  • Google Gemini: AI chat and task assistance
  • Google Cloud: Infrastructure and hosting
  • Mailjet: Email delivery

Your use of these integrated services is subject to their respective terms and privacy policies. We are not responsible for third-party service availability or data practices.

6. Updates and Modifications

We may update the Software at any time without notice. Updates may add, modify, or remove features. Continued use after updates constitutes acceptance of the modified Software. During the Open Beta period, significant changes should be expected.

7. Data and Privacy

Your use of the Software is also governed by our Privacy Policy. By using the Software, you consent to the collection and processing of data as described therein.

8. Disclaimer of Warranties

THE SOFTWARE IS PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE" WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, WHETHER EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, AND NON-INFRINGEMENT.

We do not warrant that:

  • The Software will be uninterrupted or error-free
  • AI-generated content will be accurate or complete
  • The Software will meet your specific requirements
  • Data will never be lost or corrupted

9. Limitation of Liability

IN NO EVENT SHALL WE BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES ARISING FROM YOUR USE OF THE SOFTWARE, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO LOSS OF DATA, PROFITS, OR BUSINESS OPPORTUNITIES.

10. Termination

This EULA is effective until terminated. We may terminate this license at any time if you breach any term of this agreement. Upon termination:

  • Your right to use the Software ceases immediately
  • You must stop all use of the Software
  • Your data will be handled according to our Privacy Policy

11. Governing Law

This EULA shall be governed by and construed in accordance with applicable law, without regard to conflict of law principles.
